London Gallery Weekend
Night Café is pleased to participate in London Gallery Weekend with a solo presentation of new works by Mandy Franca. The exhibition Why Do I Stare at the Sky and Long for the Clouds will be open Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 6 PM.
Developed as part of her ongoing series On Being Light and Liquid, these works emerged during a period of illness when Franca was confined to her bed. Spending long hours gazing at the sky, she found solace in the movement of passing clouds. Their drifting forms, weightless, impermanent, and governed by invisible forces, stood in contrast to her own stillness and became a way to reflect on broader social and existential conditions.
