'Ouverture'

Night Café is thrilled to announce 'Ouverture', a duo exhibition bringing together the work of Katrina Cowling and Dwayne Coleman. Grounded in materiality and process, their intuitive practices are driven by explorations of vulnerability, intimacy, memory, and identity. From pigments and wheat to steel and concrete, and from sewn textiles to kinetic sculptures, they work with both artisanal and industrially associated techniques and materials. In this way, they not only intersect the organic and the manmade, but also work through methodologies and mediums that are socially, historically, and emotionally charged.

This exhibition moves beyond a fixed division between nature and the built environment. Rather than viewing these as separate realms, Ouverture explores how they permeate one another, creating spaces where friction and harmony can co-exist. The exhibition will run from July 1 to July 25 with a Private View on Tuesday, July 1 at 162 New Cavendish Street.
